Cornwall

With such a fantastic coastline it would be a crime if Cornwall's superb seafood wasn’t high on the menu of things to enjoy during your stay.

With more Blue Flag beaches than any other UK region, there are plenty of places to dip your toes in the water or head out into the surf.  The South West Coast Path National Trail – 630 miles in total – is really splendid for coastal walking.

The award winning Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay or The Eden Project will keep you occupied, as well as the beautiful nature of places like the sandy cove at the National Trust’s Chapel Porth near St Agnes, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan, near St Austell.

If you are looking for an active holiday, there are a whole host of outdoor activities and sports to be enjoyed, including sailing, surfing, sand yachting, golf and pony trekking.

The west of the country has the popular areas of Hayle and St Ives, Lands End, Mount’s Bay (with St Michael’s Mount) and Penzance and leads on to Falmouth – Cornwall’s largest port.

The southern shores are bathed by the warming breezes of  the Gulf Stream and enjoy a mild climate at any time of the year.  Hence why the name Cornish Riviera’ is often used to describe the area.

Why not visit the brand new attractions website from Freedom Publishing - Freedom-Days. Here you'll find lots of places and attractions to make your stay in the South West even more enjoyable.
